Even when you’re in an in between place.
Even when things are hectic or chaotic.
Even when  you’re not sure about what’s next. Especially when you’re not sure what’s next.

When I was a kid, I can remember adults telling me how fast it goes, and that the older you get, the faster it goes. As I’m now firmly in middle age, I can attest to the truth of that statement.

This came up with a client who is in an in-between place. Not sure where he wants to live, not sure if he wants to find a new job, not sure about a lot of things. I get it – we’ve all been there. I know I certainly have.

What emerged from that conversation was living life, even in the uncertain times. Not missing anything.

Not sure if you like where you live? Use PTO to spend time in different places you find intriguing.
Not sure about your job? Talk with some folks in other orgs or schedule some informational interviews to see what other places are like.
Not thrilled with your life circumstances? What’s one small step you can take to live a little more? Maybe it’s a simple as going to a coffee shop and meeting some people.

Whatever you’re experiencing, whatever phase of life you’re in, don’t miss it. Find moments to be deeply present to your life. Check in every day to connect to something good that happened that day. Ask for help in taking the next small step.

Don’t miss your life.
